November 20, 2013 Fall Fishing At Its Finest!

The beginning of rifle season in Michigan also signals some of the best Steelhead fishing of the fall,
this years is no exception. The river has benefited greatly from the steady well timed rains over last month, recovering from seriously low water in October to some great above average flows in November.
Higher water this time of year makes for some great fishing conditions.

I would like to say thank you to all my clients from the last month for some great times on the water, in the good weather and the howling winds and rain this has been a great fall season so far and I am really looking forward to some awesome fishing for the rest of the fall and through the winter.

Give me a call to set up a trip, a few more layers of warm clothes, a heater on the boat to warm the hands and a hot shore lunch make for an awesome late fall trip on the Muskegon.

Incredible Lake Run Brown Trout in full fall spawning colors!

My youngest sister with an awesome Northern Michigan buck that her and my dad took while hunting together on opening day.

Lots of fresh fish moving up with each rainfall.

Steve with a gorgeous lake run brown trout.

Big fall buck.

My dad with a big chromer from his favorite river.

Spent a great day on the river with Mike and Lori, lots of chrome steelhead and nice trout in the mix.

Mike with a beautiful fresh hen.

Lori with a hard fightin fall steelhead.

Big resident brown in the high water.
Last one of the day.

Helmut came all the way from Germany to swing flies for steelhead.

Took an afternoon off and found some nice fish farther up north.
