MAY 28, 2014 WHAT A SPRING!

Sorry for the delay in reports but it has been one busy month for me.
After the river receded steelhead fishing exploded, and I have not had much extra time.

As of this week there are still decent numbers of steelhead around but we have shifted our focus to big trout, either stripping streamers or nymphing behind spawning steelhead. Focusing on trout and still landing a few steelhead makes for a great day on the MO.

Double chromers in late May.

Lots and lots of big trout.

 Fresh skipper in May.

Chrome dropback, heading back to the lake.

And one more big brown to end the report.

I will be out west for a couple weeks for some r and r but I will try to put up a post before heading back to Alaska for the summer to guide at the Naknek River lodge.

Have a great summer, see everyone in September for early Kings!
